Chatmeter: A Look Back At The Past Year

 

 

2018 was a big year for us here at Chatmeter. We won some awards we’re really proud of, our team nearly doubled in size, we launched a few new product features, and as you can see we even gave our website a makeover. Here’s a look back at some of the great things Chatmeter was able to accomplish in 2018.

 

Chatmeter’s 2018 Awards

This past year, we won 5 different awards. We’re proud of our success and looking forward to making an even bigger impact in 2019.

 

Saas 1000

This list “highlights the top growing SaaS companies based on a proprietary algorithm that includes hiring trends, growth indicators and the number of employees.” Not only did we rank on the SaaS 1000 list but we came in as the 10th fastest growing SaaS company in the world with a 45.10% growth rate.

 

INC 5000

Another amazing accomplishment this year was ranking on the INC. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies at #719! Our 692% increase in revenue growth over the past 3-years helped us to rank on this prestigious list among the nation’s fastest-growing companies.

 

 

Red Herring Top North America 100

The winning companies on this list are “selected from thousands of prospective startups and tech firms, representing the cutting edge of North America’s world-class technology industry–and demonstrate the region’s continued reputation for digital excellence.“

 

Entrepreneur 360

Coming in at #185, making this list is a huge accomplishment. The companies on this list are evaluated based on five metrics: impact, innovation, growth, leadership and business valuation.

 

The San Diego Union-Tribune Top Places To Work

Although we won some big awards this year, we have to admit this is one of the awards we’re most proud of. The Top Places to Work award is based on anonymous employee feedback. Knowing we’re able to provide an amazing place to work for our employees has to be one of our greatest accomplishments of the year.

 

Growing Our Team

In 2018, the Chatmeter team grew by 69.77% by the end of the year. We added some brilliant new team members and further established our executive team. This past year alone, we welcomed the addition of our VP of Finance, Kurt Klitzner; our VP of Marketing, Cynthia Sener; our Director of HR, Coua Phang; and most recently our VP of Product, Sridhar Nagarajan. We’ve brought on some amazing talent this year and we’re looking to add even more in the coming months. Click here to see our available positions.

 

Perfecting The Chatmeter Platform

In 2018, we launched two features on our platform both designed to make managing your local SEO easier.

The Local Brand Visibility (LBV) Score

Our LBV scoring system was created to help brands interpret how their local SEO efforts affect their brand’s local online visibility. Over spring, we launched our LBV scoring tool to give brands an even better picture of their local SEO efforts. By assessing 5-key areas; reviews, listings, social media, search rankings, and local competition, our LBV scoring system assigns brands a unique score to give them a better idea on how using the Chatmeter platform has impacted their online visibility.

 

Workflow

This tool is the first of it’s kind to offer a task management system for tracking, notifying, and updating local business listings in addition to managing reviews, social media, and other local SEO tasks. Workflow helps brands to control the conversation around every location. With real-time alerts and reporting, it’s one of the best features in the Chatmeter platform.

 

Facebook Recommendations

You may remember back in August, Facebook announced their move from star ratings to “recommendations”. This new system for reviewing businesses meant our platform needed to adapt. We got to work on making updates to our platform extremely quick and even integrated the updates with our newer features like Workflow and the LBV score.

 

Expanding Our Yelp Partnership

 

 

We became a Yelp Knowledge partner back in 2016, but this year we expanded our partnership with the review site to include listings management. This expanded partnership means Chatmeter now offers our clients the unique ability to manage their multi-location Yelp profiles from within the Chatmeter platform. Our partnership with Yelp gives our customers the ability to access the following features from within the Chatmeter platform:

  • Review monitoring
  • Review responding
  • Claim listings
  • Update listings (business name, address, phone, business hours, description, and more)
  • Duplicate listing removal
  • Yelp analytics

 

Giving Back: Chatmeter Cares

This year, Chatmeter put an increased focus on philanthropic work. In addition to a canned food drive, donating toys to a children’s hospital, and raising money for our neighbors at the Monarch school for homeless youth, we built two homes in Mexico with the organization Baja Bound. These life-changing trips building homes for those who need it most were some of our biggest highlights of the year. We’re proud of all the time and hard work Chatmeter employees were able to donate in 2018 and are looking to give back even more in 2019.

 

2019 – The Year Of Chatmeter

We have a big year ahead of us here at Chatmeter. Established in 2009, we’re coming up on our 10-year anniversary and we’re ready to make this year one of the biggest yet. Starting with a fresh new look on our website, we’re committed to giving our customers even more tools and guidance on managing their brand’s online reputation, local listings, social media, and much more.
